Mobility One Signs Contract for Drone-Based Automated Monitoring Infrastructure to Accelerate Digital Transformation in Shipbuilding

Mobility One announced that it has signed a contract on May 29 to participate in the “Demonstration Support Project for Securing K-Super Gap Competitiveness in Next-Generation Shipbuilding Production Technologies,” organized by the Jeonnam Daebul Industry-Academia Convergence Institute.

The project aims to establish a drone-based automated monitoring infrastructure capable of automatically collecting field data, monitoring production processes, and enhancing safety management in shipbuilding environments. The infrastructure is expected to serve as a key foundation for the future Welding Production Technology Specialized Center, support the AI-driven transformation (AX) of shipyards, and strengthen cost competitiveness across the industry.

The project will be jointly carried out with WeroadX, a high-tech system integration (SI) solutions company. Together, the two companies will provide an integrated solution designed to accelerate digitalization and automation within shipbuilding production sites, improving both operational efficiency and workplace safety.

As part of the project, Mobility One will leverage its integrated control platform, M1UCS (Mobility One Unified Control System), to provide centralized management and operation of drones and drone stations. The company will also be responsible for the automated processing of periodically collected image data, enabling continuous site monitoring with minimal human intervention.

A Mobility One representative stated, “This project represents an important opportunity to demonstrate how drone stations, autonomous drone operations, and AI-powered data processing can enhance productivity and safety in real industrial environments. We expect this initiative to become a successful reference case for the digital transformation of shipbuilding operations.”

The company further emphasized that the project will serve as a stepping stone for expanding the application of its M1UCS and Drone Station Integrated Solution beyond the shipbuilding sector into a wide range of industries, including industrial complexes, smart cities, public safety, and critical infrastructure monitoring.

Mobility One continues to expand its business portfolio based on M1UCS, a unified control platform for heterogeneous drones and robots. The platform supports multi-drone operations, autonomous monitoring, digital twin integration, and AI-driven analytics, serving customers across smart city, industrial safety, defense, and infrastructure inspection markets.
